Chemical Dependency, Detoxification Program

Summit Oaks Hospital provides a comprehensive program designed to help patients work on their recovery and maintain a substance-free lifestyle. This is accomplished through a combination of groups and individualized treatment in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.

In an atmosphere conducive to dealing with the addiction as well as with core issues, participants in the program develop skills that will help them function without substances in their home and community.

We offer an interdisciplinary approach combining:

  • The 12-Step model
  • Relapse prevention principles/concentration
  • Psychological and psycho-educational interventions

Detoxification

Summit Oaks pioneered the use of Suboxone and Subutex Sublingual tablets, also known as Buprenorphine, for those addicted to opiates such as heroin and prescription medications. This new treatment method eases the discomfort often associated with detoxification.

The length of stay varies depending on the severity of the case, but we always offer 24-hour medical supervision during withdrawal.
