Addiction Psychiatrist Joins Summit Oaks Hospital and Psychiatric Solutions

SUMMIT, N.J. - (July 1, 2010) - Summit Oaks Hospital, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, is pleased to announce the return of Dr. Indra Cidambi as the Director of Addiction Services.

Most recently, Dr. Cidambi worked for the Anne Klein Forensic Center, where she provided evaluation, testimony and expert witness services for forensic cases involving sex offenders. Prior to that, she was the director of the inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation units at Summit Oaks Hospital in 2006. She left to manage the dual diagnostic and acute care units at Carrier Clinic in Belle Meade, N.J., as well as begin Center for Network Therapy, her own substance abuse intensive outpatient program (IOP), to treat people affected by substance abuse. Network Therapy is a cognitive-behavioral approach to treating chemical dependency that enhances the recovery process by elevating the level of support an individual receives from family and friends by involving them in the therapeutic process.

Dr. Cidambi graduated from Second Tashkent State Medical Institute in Uzbekistan (former USSR). She completed her residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. and her fellowship in addiction psychiatry at New York Medical School/Bellevue Hospital Center. Dr. Cidambi is a board certified general and addiction psychiatrist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
